189. Do Not Disturb - But How?

How do you calm your mind? How do you regulate your nervous system? How do you "be here now?" These are the questions I had when I started out on my intentional spiritual journey. In the Hafiz poem I shared yesterday, it said, "Speak only that which disturbs no one." Today, I explore the HOW of it.

Welcome to 100 Ways. This is your daily exploration of self and soul. I'm your host and fellow explorer, Laura Christine. Let's dive in and find our way home. Yesterday. I shared a Hafiz poem. And basically it said just for one day, Just one day. Speak. speak only that which disturbs no one. What did they, it be amazing if we all just knew how to do that. It's bringing me to think about my, the beginning of my conscious or my intentional spiritual journey. Where I would get so annoyed because I would be told what I needed to do. But I had no idea how to actually do that. Thing, like just be present in the moment. Um, forgive. It's not about the other person. Don't worry about things. Nothing matters, actually, nothing matters kind of really. Stuck with me. Still does. But. how do you actually calm your mind? Right? It's like meditate. Okay. But meditating is meditating. It's not combing your mind. It's these practices we're given these practices to do. That eventually, hopefully will lead us to learn how to do the things they're supposed to help us learn to do. Okay. So how do we then not disturb anybody? How do we then speak only in the act in ways that only. Don't disturb how do we disturb? No one. I don't think it's possible. My existence is disturbing. Just so, you know, your existence is also disturbing. It disturbs the energy. So I think it's the intention more than anything else. Speak. Only that which disturbs no one. I think in order to do that, the closest we can. We need to be undisturbed ourselves. How do we do that? We practice. We practice coming home to ourselves. We practice self-awareness. How do I feel right now? Am I feeling good? Am I feeling solid? Am I feeling secure in myself? Or am I feeling like my nervous system is totally dysregulated and I got to do something. Take a pass, go for a walk, chill out. What do I need? In order to be undisturbed myself. And then that way I can have the perception. Or the level of perception. That will create the least disturbance. For those around me. And I won't want to speak anything that would disturb somebody. I wouldn't want to do something that would disturb somebody because I like the harmony I've created in my own life so much. That. It doesn't serve me to disturb. That's probably didn't really answer how to actually do that, but it's a start. We need to know where we are wanting to go. Before we can get there. All the practices, the yoga, the tight Xi, the mindfulness, the meditation. The art. The exercise, all of those things that help to regulate the nervous system. Is how. It's just a matter of putting it into practice. Making it a habit. Continuing and noticing the results. And the results don't come overnight. That's where commitment comes in. I talked about commitment the other day. Commitment is scary. But making habits. Out of these practices is really where it's at.
