Hello. This is an excerpt from my journal from March 3rd, 2022, while I was still in Northern California. It's. Some musings about myself and the way I see the world. It's a way. Of sort of seeing the world that can help us come home. To ourselves because. I feel like. Our root. Is where we're home. Most of what I do is excavate. We pile on so many words and ideas to cover the roots of our problems. I am curious. I see the words and beliefs. They are clues to the roots. And oh, the magnificent roots. The roots are the clues to the solution. The roots. Totally give it away. It's sort of like If a plant isn't growing so great. You don't change the plant. You find out what the plant needs. Finding the roots you'll know what someone needs. Um, an excavator. I dig with curiosity until I find the roots. Which lead right to the solution. Our society in general. Looks at the external looks at the results. Of the seed. Of the root system. And it tries to like, Change. The leaves. say an Oak tree grew. That isn't the acorn. That's what made the Oak tree grow? But people are like, well, I don't want an Oak tree though. I want to sugar, maple. So I'm going to like, Take off all these leaves and put sugar maple leaves on it. And then maybe that'll be a sugar maple tree. That's not how it works. The root of. All suffering. Is. Disconnection. It's a sense of loneliness. It's a sense of not belonging. And our society is so good at giving us the sense. So. In order to. Alleviate. Someone's suffering. We can't just. Give them a new fucking set of clothes to wear. We have to be able to actually look at that person into their eyes, into the very essence of their soul and see. That's soul. In a way that lets them know that they're seen. And just to be there. To listen. As really. All that person needs. The question of the day. To come home. Is. What. Am I. trying to change on the surface. That actually has roots much deeper. And what would it look like if I were able to actually change the roots or the seed? That created what I'm trying to change out on the surface. And would it be worth. The sacrifice of the time, energy and effort. To make that change. I have my bet. But I'll let you make your own discovery there. Go to buy me a coffee.com/ 1 0, 0 ways to buy me a chai. And support the show. And until next time. I'm sending you all the love. And then some more. We'll talk tomorrow.
